2.5GbE overload




"The N5105 is a big step up from the previous generation in terms of performance. Not only do we get higher performance per core, but we also get more PCIe lanes so we can have NVMe storage, albeit a PCIe Gen3 x2 connection. Still, that is a major benefit for the newer system versus SATA in the old. These 2.5GbE devices, now that software support has caught up for the NICs, are much more practical. Personally, the lack of an active fan I see as a major benefit. Also, for those looking for a lower power cluster, but maybe a step up in performance and capabilities from Raspberry Pi’s or other development boards, these are good options."
