OnLogic Helix 320 announced

The Helix 320 brings powerful, highly efficient Intel N-Series processing to the edge. Configurable with a 4-core N250 or an 8-core N355 processor paired with up to 16GB of high-speed LPDDR5 memory hitting 4800 MT/s, this architecture is optimized to handle demanding edge gateway and data logging applications with ease. By maximizing processing compute standards while maintaining low power consumption, the system helps lower ongoing operational costs for large deployments. A 5-year product lifecycle ensures a predictable total cost of ownership (TCO) and safeguards engineers against the expensive testing cycles brought on by sudden hardware redesigns.

Housed in a fanless, low profile enclosure, the Helix 320 is purpose-built for easy integration into tight spaces and harsh environments alike. The passive cooling architecture ensures reliable operation across a 0 to 50°C temperature range while keeping internal components protected from airborne debris. Far more than a general purpose computing platform, the Helix 320 is tested to meet strict global industrial standards for specific use cases, including EMC standards for medical 60601-1-2 (4th ed.). Combined with a flexible 12–36V DC 3-pin terminal block power input, the system seamlessly drops into existing cabinets and easily ties into DIN rail power sources.

Engineered for dense connectivity without the need for expensive add-on cards, the Helix 320 includes four native 2.5 GbE LAN ports for high-throughput edge networking. The system delivers multi-screen capability without taking up valuable physical space by supporting up to three independent displays simultaneously, giving you deployment flexibility through a choice of four physical front-panel connections: two standard DisplayPorts and two DisplayPort 1.4 over USB-C (DPOC) ports. For critical industrial control, the back panel integrates a robust 14-pin terminal block supporting dual RS-232/485/422 serial connections. Internal expansion slots allow for Wi-Fi and 4G/5G cellular modules, ensuring flexible connectivity right out of the box.
