"This isn't your father's NUC—or even the NUC you may remember from five or 10 years ago. The PC industry keeps finding ways to pack beefier silicon into ever-tinier machines. Case in point: the Asus NUC 16 Pro Mini. Our punchy test model (expected to sell for around $3,000), kitted out with an Intel Core Ultra X7 358H processor and 64GB of memory, is one of the most powerful mini PCs of its size class we've tested to date. It delivers enough CPU performance to handle tough workflows—managing complex datasets, casual content-creation work, even light AI development—while taking up almost no space on your desk.
The Asus NUC 16 Pro Mini, in the configuration that we tested or one like it, will set you back quite a bit when purchased individually. But the performance for the size is pretty impressive. It will power through any general office tasks you throw at it, as well as light content-creation work. It's also packed with features that IT managers and other business users will appreciate, like an extended warranty with direct support, hardware-level security, and deep AI development readiness."
