Some of our readers are still trying (and failing) to build passively-cooled gaming rigs with "fanless" graphics cards. Let's make it very clear : unlike super-sized fanless CPU coolers, these cards are designed for active airflow and case fans.
They are absolutely NOT compatible with purely fanless systems. Convection-cooled graphics cards would feature coolers 5 to 10 times bigger than those pictured.
Fanless gaming PCs are still achievable with third-party GPU cooling solutions, the largest heatsink cases, or simply using powerful iGPUs from Intel and AMD.
