CRYORIG's new flagship case

Granted this is liquid cooling but CRYORIG's upcoming LULL case does feature a passive cooling aspect. Its standout feature is a chassis-integrated liquid cooling plate, which acts as a large, passive cooling surface, eliminating the need for traditional fans to dissipate heat from the CPU. This heat sink measures approximately 400 mm x 400 mm x 30 mm and weighs about 3.9 kg, taking up almost the entire left side panel of the case.

Update: April Fools obviously. We still want a fanless CPU cooler from CRYORIG though.

Who needs fanless CPU coolers anyway?

We mean who needs CPU coolers marketed as fanless, including half-baked or tiny ones like Arctic Alpine 11 passive, when juggernauts like Phanteks PH-TC14PE, Noctua NH-D14, Cryorig R1 Ultimate, be quiet! Dark Rock Pro 3, Thermaltake Frio Extreme, Thermalright Silver Arrow or Akasa Venom Medusa are available, and will do a better work passively.

Sure, fin spacing is important but the sheer size - and the quality - of these dual towers will definitely make up for it. As always, make sure to choose a 35W CPU and go open air, or at least in a case with mesh on top.

CRYORIG R1 Universal shows versatility

Some hinted that CRYORIG's flagship cooler, the R1 Universal, perfoms pretty well passively. Today, the CRYORIG team confirms to us that the R1 "can definitely operate with no fan".

No maximum TDP is given, but any 35W CPU should be at ease under this 936g asymmetrical dual tower.
