Silent PC with 3d printed parts
"I always wanted to build a SFF PC. But I also really love a silent PC. These two ideas did not seem to intersect. Then I came across the Noctua NH-P1, and it all just clicked. The only issue was that I could not find an existing case that would fit the passive cooler while still being considered SFF. So I decided to build my own."

Happy anniversary, Noctua
To celebrate its 20-year anniversary, Noctua introduces the NP-DM3, a premium-grade desk mat with a timeline design that highlights key milestones in the brand’s history. The theme spans from the very first Noctua heatsink and fan all the way to the latest G2 series models. It also features iconic models such as the NH-D14 or our beloved NH-P1.
Measuring 90x40cm, the NP-DM3 nicely fits common desk setups and provides ample space for keyboard and mouse. Thanks to its rubberized anti-slip bottom and smooth, low-friction top fabric, it’s equally suited to gamers and content creators. The NP-DM3 is available for $39.90.

Bloody brilliant
Please, ignore the fans. After all this build does feature the now iconic Noctua NH-P1. Designed by Hardline Nexus this incredibly stylish PC features the Core Ultra 7 265K and a mighty RTX 4090 inside the newly released Phanteks Evolv X2 case in silver. A short but informative video can also be seen here. The work of a true artist.

Noctua NH-P1's 4th Anniversary
"Noctua’s NH-P1 is a unique fanless cooler that offers completely silent performance, at the cost of slightly reduced cooling power. You won’t look at this if you need every last bit of performance for overclocking, but rather if you’re a user who prefers quiet and has more common workloads. Even if you do run intense multi-core workloads, there won’t be much of a performance loss – as shown with our Cinebench R23 tests using AMD’s Ryzen 9 9950X3D.
At this time, not only is Noctua’s NH-P1 the strongest fanless solution available for common users – it is also the only one that is easily available for purchase. The $119 USD price tag might be difficult to swallow, but that’s the price of a niche product with strong performance."

Midlife upgrade
"A midlife upgrade for my parent’s PC that I built for them during COVID. It’s mostly used for word processing, web browsing, and document management. Since I already had a fanless PSU from a previous build I thought I splurge on Noctua’s fanless CPU cooler and give a passively cooled PC a try.
The temperatures seem fine, the highest I’ve seen it go was just above 50 degrees after I played a modern visual novel on it for several hours. I wasn’t expecting a massive air cooler to have trouble handling a 3200G. And the noise levels were silent, of course. It’s actually a bit unsettling how quiet it is; since there is no fan or lighting, it’s sometimes hard to tell if it’s on or off.
The NH-P1 itself was good, it had clear instructions, all of the accessories were organized, and even came with a Torq screwdriver with the correct length for the cooler and thermal paste. The only issue was how enormous the NH-P1 is. It prevented me from screwing in all of the standoffs and plugging in the EPS cable. I had to remove and remount the cooler after I installed the motherboard inside of the case and plugged in all the cables first. Screwing into the mount is also a bit tricky since it’s difficult to align it with the cooler."

PC cases are overrated
Good news: In an open-air testbed, the Noctua NH-P1 effectively cools the 65W Core Ultra 9 285 passively. The CPU idles at a cool 24°C, reaches 55°C under normal use, and stabilizes at a perfectly fine 75°C under heavy load.

a PC with flair
"Completed this passive cooled PC. The GPU is a fanless Palit KalmX 3050. Runs great, weighs a ton, gets quite warm. Keep children and pets away."

PC components are beautiful
While details are limited, this PC build from China demonstrates a focus on natural convection, and this is what you want. Key components include the king Noctua NH-P1 CPU cooler, a trusty Seasonic fanless PSU, a Palit fanless KamlX graphics card, and what looks like a local test bench.

The AMD / Noctua NH-P1 problem
"I know that it would be better to rotate cooler by 90 degrees, but Noctua allows this only on Intel, on AMD it is only 180 degrees..."

Silent Black Warrior
This stunning build features the powerful i5-14600K, Palit's less powerful but plenty capable Kalmx GTX 1050 Ti graphics card, the SilverStone 450W SFX power supply and the Deng A12 Pro mini-ITX chassis. Just beautiful.

Unlikely duo
The Noctua NH-L9i CPU cooler is a great match for the Raspberry Pi 5. Despite being designed for powerful desktop processors, its compact size and efficient cooling make it an ideal upgrade for the Pi 5, especially when running demanding workloads. This pairing reduces the Pi's operating temperatures, leading to improved stability, performance, and longevity.

Embrace the chaos
"As a daily I'm using an AMD 8700G with passive cooling (NH-P1) Fanless 200W Meanwell (12V) + Fanless 200W Pico ATX powersupply, 2x 4TB NVMe in bequiet MC1Pro and 96 Gbyte DDR5, KryoSheet instead of thermal paste. No case just mounted on a benchtable, underneath the bench table is a box including an 10 Port USB 3 hub and an Aten 4 Port KVM Switch Is still use M-Disc for Backups - so a slim usb bluray burner is also attached"

New NH-P1 review
"To put this CPU cooler to the test, I installed it on top of an Intel Core i5-13600K where it performed well enough that you could run the system without a single case fan installed, so long as you don't keep hitting the CPU hard with stress tests or heavier workloads. I then decided to try the 12-core AMD Ryzen 9 7900, which has a TDP of 65W, and activated precision boost overclocking (PBO) to transform the chip into an AMD Ryzen 9 7900X. The results were astounding and not what I expected from a passive CPU cooler."
