Meet the Zalman CNPS20X
ZALMAN is back. After years of financial struggles, the Korean company is working on multiple exciting products, including this massive CNPS20X. The 1kg CPU cooler features six heat pipes and a very interesting array of copper fins.
Such a massive heat sink could be used as a passive cooler, but we'll wait for reviews before jumping to any conclusion. Debacles like the FX100 and FX70 left a bitter taste in our mouth.

Akasa's Computex booth
Update: The Turing case is formally launched:
"Akasa Launches the New Turing Fanless Chassis for 8th Generation Intel NUC London - May 2019 - Akasa released the Turing fanless chassis, a passively cooled case that blends contemporary design with a striking top panel inspired by traditional Chinese window screens.
Perfectly balanced in cooling performance and size, the 8th Gen Intel NUC fits comfortably in a small form factor space and is cooled with an aluminium fin array radiator.
The case has a small footprint and can be set up vertically or horizontally. Optional feet can be attached to the bottom of the vertical setup. An optional second end panel can be added to the other end of the horizontal setup. It’s a perfect case for building your own Roon music server, NAS or HTPC.
Designed for 28W TDP, Turing supports 8th Gen Intel Core i3, i5, and i7 processors. Connectivity includes USB 3.0 Type-A, an audio jack and dual IR microphone receivers on the front. Rear I/O features HDMI, TB3, two USB 3.0 Type-A and GbE. The case is complete with antenna fitting holes, a kensington lock, and 2.5” SATA HDD or SSD support. Dimensions are 247.9 x 113.5 x 95mm."

Playing with the Rugged Intel Core Mini
We're currently sampling the i5 version of Tranquil PC's Rugged Intel Core Mini PC, and so far so good. Upgrading the RAM and storage is not the easiest since the motherboard has to be completely removed from the case, but cooling is nothing short of amazing. The case itself is as heavy as the Akasa Euler (designed for 35W processors) and keeps the 15W i5-7200U systematically under 50°C.

New GIGABYTE single board computer
According to GIGABYTE itself, the new GA-SBCAP3940 is powered by the "Celeron E3940" which is surprisingly inaccurate. The E3940 is actually an Apollo Lake Atom. The 9.5W TDP processor features 4 cores clocked at 1.60 GHz (up to 1.80 GHz).
The 146 x 102 mm motherboard features one mSATA slot, one DDR3L SO-DIMM slot (up to 8 GB), two SATA connectors, HDMI output, two USB 3.0 ports, SIM socket and two GbE LAN ports. The GA-SBCAP3940 comes with a panel / case that doubles as a heat sink.

Undervolted i9-9900K
A reader just sent us these pictures of a very cool build featuring the discontinued Nofan CR-95C Black Pearl and an undervolted i9-9900K. The original plan was to wait for the 35W i9-9900T but ultimately the i9-9900K was the best option for the experiment. At 90A the CPU consumes 67W max and can turbo up to 5GHz (the i9-9900T is locked at 4.4GHz).
✓ CPU: Intel i9-9900K with Nofan CR-95C (using Noctua's NT-H2)
✓ RAM: 64GB Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4-2666 DIMM CL16
✓ SSD: Samsung 970 Pro
✓ Motherboard: Asus Prime Z390-A✓ Case: Thermaltake Core V41
✓ PSU: Seasonic Prime Fanless 600W

FSP releases slim 330W fanless external PSU
This looks perfect for high performance SFF systems, including NUC and mini desktops similar to Compulab's Airtop. At 200 x 27 x 100mm the adapter is on the large side, though. It operates with a universal input range of 90-264VAC. Available in two flavors, 19.5V (FSP330-AJAN3) and 24V (FSP330-AAAN3) it is designed with reliability in mind (MTBF of 300,000 hours at 25℃).
"In order to satisfy the equipment requirements for the AIoT field, FSP has broken through the R&D bottleneck and released a slim 330W high wattage fanless external power supply. This slim design model has a height of only 27mm and allows users to save equipment space. Enclosure design reduces noise and is dust-proof."
